Love at First Site

We did not get our first glimpse of you until January 20th, which felt like a really long time to wait. But there you were!

I have to admit I cried. And we thought you had only been with us for 9 weeks, but you measured to be a little over 11 weeks. We had to hurry up to UVA to make sure you were all perfect.

Your First Visit to The University

Because of my advanced maternal age, we at least got one trip to UVA. We got to have another look at you, although you wouldn't cooperate and smile for the camera.

But the next day we found out that you had 46 chromosomes all matched up in perfect pairs. And two weeks later we found out that your big sister will have a baby brother in August. Let the nursery planning and name picking begin!
